Why did you want to create Curvatude?
Curvatude was born out of my desire to inspire women to live out loud. I don’t use things like “body positivity” much because my goal with creating Curvatude was to hopefully inspire by example.
What has influenced your style?
My style is influenced purely by what I like. I have very defined opinions so I know what I like.
What is your fashion pet peeve?
That people think they can tell others what to wear
What style advice would you say helped you the most?
Honestly, I can’t think of any. My style motto is “Fashion is an individual statement” So I really don’t seek much outside of what I feel.
What keeps you motivated as a blogger?
The same thing that started me becoming one. I want to show that you get to define your life, not your size & what people think of it
What do you find most challenging about blogging about fashion?
I don’t feel there are any because I am literally blogging about my life & the things I enjoy and have opinions about.
What is your advice to new bloggers?
Definitely, don’t do it if you don’t love it. It can be a lot of work, so it’s not as glamorous as it might look on Instagram
What are your favourite blogs?
I love home decor/lifestyle more than fashion so I generally read them. I also like Apartment Therapy, Well and Good.
Where do you see your blog in five years?
I am not sure if I see it in 5 years. I started my blog in January 2009. And I wouldn’t always post on it because I go through phases but recently I have started committing to that to a degree. But I never force myself. It has to be because I want to post. But I have so many other things I want to do, like my photography. So, I am going with my flow & only doing what feels good So in 5 years Curvatude comes to be something completely different or nothing at all
