It’s almost a few weeks before Summer officially starts. However, the weather hasn’t gotten the memo and temperatures are already climbing. I know it is down here Texas where we already hitting mid 80’s to 90’s. So, it’s all well in good to wear shorts and a tank top when you’re off work, but how do you stay cool when you’re at the office? Well, I’m going to give you some hints about that (and I promise to expand on that on a later post).

First of all, let’s talk about this jacket. I am in love with this very light lavender boyfriend jacket from Simply Be’s. It’s one of my favorite new places and I love their stuff. Now, if you don’t already know, Lavender is it color of the Spring/Summer season. Actually, it’s Pantone’s color of the year. So, you are going to see it everywhere, and I have been desperately looking for something affordable in that color.
Next, a gingham short-sleeved shirt. With this outfit, I especially wanted something you can easily transition into if it gets a little too cold in the office. I know from my own personal experience that offices tend to turn the AC all the way up during the summer. However, what if you have to do something out of the office? Well, you can take this shirt off and still look cute and professional. Also, take note of the gingham fuschia color. For summer, Gingham is the pattern that everyone wears to death. It’s a simple way to look summer-y and trendy without having to go too far.
Then, I decided to add these simple but super cute white linen pants from Cato. Now, if you don’t know, linen is a super comfortable and breathable fabric that makes it the go-to-clothes in the hotter months. I will agree that it can be a hassle to keep it pressed, but a simple of a bottle of wrinkle release spray and a run through the dryer will making keeping your linen items pressed and ready to wear!
Now, let’s talk about the shoes. I at first wanted to choose these gorgeous patent leather purple pumps from FSJ shoes, but I know that 8 hours plus in those would kill your feet. So Aldo came to the rescue with these super comfy 2-inch block heels sandals. The color is fun and you can totally wear these shoes over and over again! It’s perfect if you are constantly running around in and out of your office all day long.
And next, let’s talk about favorite part! The Accessories! Now, I decided to go for very minimum and functional. My first accessory is this very cute light pink/purple watch from Walmart. I really love the rope details on the wristband. Then finally is this gorgeous purple briefcase that I found on eBay. I love the color and the inside makes it easy to keep your stuff organized during the day.
And that is my plus size outfit idea perfect for a hot Spring or Summer day. What do you guys think? Let me know down in the comments!
