I love a good sale, seriously just like a lot of women the word “sale” just makes me gitty. So when Rue21 which has been on my radar for a while now was having their weekly sale, I jumped on it immediately.
I actually plan on doing a review of Rue 21 one of these days, so stay tuned for that. Now for me, Spring is all about florals. I know Miranda Priestly would sneer, but since I dress mostly for myself I would say screw Miranda Priestly and wear all the florals.

Now for most people when they think about Spring Florals, think about pretty floral sundresses, but since Kimonos, because a thing a few years ago people have been throwing on a kimono over a plain pair of pants and a tank top.
When it comes to Spring stables, it’s okay to think outside of the box. Wear a floral tank top, a flower necklace like I did, a kimono, or a floral purse. You don’t have to go big and do a top to bottom pattern.

A Kimono is a great way to do Spring Florals in a hurry! Now, when it comes to Kimonos I wasn’t a huge fan.
Honestly, when the temperature warms up down here, I do not want layers of any kind. And when it comes to South Texas weather, we only have two seasons Winter and Summer, and Winter. There is almost no little in between the seasons down here.
However, like always my blogging pal, Shelbee from “Shelbee on The Edge” put on all the Kimonos during most of late Spring and Summer, I was slowly and gradually tempted to buy a kimono myself

Again, when Rue 21 was having a sale and I saw this Kimono for like $7, I jumped on it. I love that Kimono, it’s so thin and pretty. And I have been so impressed that I recently got a white rayon-poly floral Kimono from Rainbow.
If you follow my Instagram and my instastories, and at this point, you really should. You got a preview of it, and I promise I will be doing a post about it later.

The Look

Note: There are affiliate links below. If you click and buy anything from the links I will get a small commission. I urge you to click on the links because this is a great way to support my blog.

First and foremost I started out with a plain white tank top. In the warmer months, I tend to wear a lot of tank tops and I have them in every color. Then, I paired it with this simple dusty rose pink capris. Again, you guys are going to be seeing a lot of capris this season. These capris are from Women Within and you can find them here.

On top of the tank top and capris, is my new Kimono. Again, I bought it from Rue 21. I love it, and I just love the color and floral pattern. Then, when it came to shoes I decided to put on my brown rope thong sandals that I bought from Melrose years ago. I bought them in both black and brown, and I wore the black ones during my first successful photoshoot! Unfortunately, they don’t sell them anymore. However, don’t feel disappointed because there is a similar pair here.

Now, on to the accessories! First off, is my straw wooden olive bag that is old enough to be considered vintage. If you guys remember, I actually wore this bag to go see “Black Panther.”   I love it, and I will be totally wearing it again. Then, to really bring home the Spring feeling, and like always I went straight to my mother’s jewelry collection.

So, I choose this gorgeous golden flower chain, and then a gorgeous gold cuff bracelet. And that is my plus size casual spring Kimono outfit. What do you guys think? Let me know down in the comments!
