Welcome to my very first ‘The Remix’ post. On this type of post, I feature fashion bloggers that I admire and then try to remix their outfit using the magic of Polyvore. First up, is one of my favorite bloggers and blogging pal Martina Pollard from ‘Reviere of the Roses’. Every outfit she puts together is just so beautiful and classy no matter if she’s wearing  joggers or a cocktail dress.

These images are from Martina’s blog and are used with her permission.

The main issue with doing a post like this for Martina is that they are just so many great outfits to choose from, so after a furious debate with myself I decided to just choose this post. I just love it and it’s simply a perfect outfit for winter.

The Remix: Reverie of The Roses

WithChic long coat
$28 – withchic.com

River Island legging
riverisland.com

High heeled footwear
$26 – very.co.uk

First off, I love the faux fur jacket! As always, it just so classy, and Martina wears it with the elegance of a young Jackie-O.   However, instead of doing the full faux fur jacket like Martina did with this outfit. I instead, chose this gorgeous black leather and faux fur jacket from WithChic.

Can you believe it’s only $28? It’s practically a steal!

Next, I chose this super cute hot pink shirt from Venus.com. I just love the details of this blouse, especially the cut-out pattern on the sleeves.  Then, I paired the shirt with these very simple leggings from River Island. You guys know that I am personally a leggings junky and I wear them all year long.  I actually feel that leggings should be counted as a closet staple because you can do so many things with them. 😉

As for the shoes, I love Martina’s idea of not going too matchy-matchy with them and instead choosing a pair of nude pumps.  Nude is actually a rarely used neutral that doesn’t get enough love in my opinion.  I also love the patent leather, they just make my inner magpie jump up and down with joy.  They are just so darn shiny and I adore them!

And finally, I am such a fan of that Chanel purse. I’m way too poor to afford it though, and I’m totally envious of her fabulous Chanel bag.  However, as a nice alternative chose this very cute patent leather bag (and I told you guys I love me some patent leather).  In the end, this outfit is a nice mix of textures, with a nice color pop.

So what do you guys think? Love it or hate it? Let me know down in the comments! Also, make sure to stay tuned for my brand spanking new link up down below! Sign up and show me your style peeps!

Note: I accidentally had the link set up for a later date. *headdesk* This is my first time doing a link up of my own and I totally messed up.  Sorry, about that guys.
